Pertaining to Neopaganism and/or Witchcraft
- Asiya's Shadows: Finally, someone who figured out how to be civil, diplomatic and docile WITHOUT BEING FLUFFY. Granted, her guestbook is full of fluffies, but then again, she didn't write her guestbook ;)
Also the ringmaster of Intelligent Magick, linked below.
- The Crooked Heath: the newest star in the constellation of non-fluffy pagans. Her take on things is a bit different, but her almost Traditionalist viewpoint is a breath of fresh air, and her site (while at present incomplete, and is but a skeleton of its future self) is informative and well-designed. You must visit the Crooked Heath at some point in your life. It is your fate.
- Daven's Journal: a real site with real material by a real pagan. Read this site and you'll instantly be twice as wise as when you entered. Worth getting to know, even if it does involve only reading his entire website (which might take you a year). ^_^
- Magickal Shadow: Now here's a dude whose style is as straight up and brute force as mine is. He just happens to get more colourful hate mail than I do. While I don't agree with everything he says, I do love his delivery and I admire his dedication to his chosen causes. I give you props, Shadow.
- MysticWicks: Granted, the site is very fluff-oriented, but the message board has about two dozen sensible witches on it. I'm a regular there, although I can honestly say I have never had the urge to comb through the site.
- Pagan Path: A treasure trove of information. You gotta pay to be there, but it pays to be there. :)
- Per-Bast: An online temple of Bast. Plenty of resources regarding the Eye of Ra. The historical essay is especially noteworthy.
- The Ranting Witches: They're beautiful, they're bitchy, they're unfluffy, and there's even an Iota. I'm ashamed it took me this long to link them.
- The Sator-Rotas Square: I actually stole this link from Why Wiccans Suck. Why? Because it's worth repeating. The web design leaves something to be desired, but the material is very nifty.
- Turok's Cabana: Probably the greatest cache of pagan humour online. Definitely worth investigating if you're in need of a smile.
- Wicca for the Rest of Us: Does my site offend you? Here's a fellow Michigander who understands the world the way I do, but whose site is a bit more...tasteful. Seriously, the author is very intelligent and the site is incredibly well-designed. Go see for yourself, and thank her for moving her site off of GeoShitties ;)
- The Witches' Way: Starrfire's own personal shitload of essays and rants and miscellaneous stufft. Enough to keep you on your ass for hours.
- Why Wiccans Suck: The premier anti-fluffbunny site. Partial inspiration for this site. The hardest part of making the Mirror? Trying to say shit that 4nongoths didn't. :)
Pertaining to Satanism
- The Church of Satan: Anton Szandor LaVey's brainchild, the most famous of all Satanic organisations. Granted, their flavour of Satanism is really just glorified hedonism with shock value, it's still quite an informative and fascinating site, and worth checking out.
- Satanism 101: Your premier source for (LaVeyan) Satanic essentials, which happens to be the very place where I learned about Satanism back when I was 15 years old and searching for a path of my own. Check it out, it's worth every minute.
- Theistic Satanism: A very informative (and very well designed) site about theistic Satanism. You know, real devil worship. Not glorified hedonism, such as the Church of Satan promotes. Actual worshipping of Satan as an entity. Pretty fascinating stuff.
- The 600 Club: Yes, the 600 Club. I love the name, I love the purpose, I love the content. And it's even a site that my "impersonator" actually slandered in my name.
Pertaining to Christianity
- Bible Gateway: Find virtually any verse in virtually any version of the post-Canon Bible, virtually anytime. Pretty nifty in its own way.
- ExWitch.org: Paganism not for you? Head here for a surefire return to the Christian fold. I'm still on their message board. Beware of the überfundies that regularly post there (trust me, it wasn't ALWAYS this way), although there are quite a few genuinely good people there worth talking to.
Pertaining to Religion in Some Other Fashion
- The Belief-O-Matic: Don't know what faith you should belong to? Take these 20 questions and this contraption will plot where you are on the map of the most popular religions. Here are my results.
- Intelligent Magick Webring: A ring of around two dozen sites dedicated to serious Witchcraft and the sensible practice thereof. If you came to this site and found enlightenment, then the next step is to hit up Daven's Journal. Once you do that, go here.
- Paganetwork: Basically, what Pagan Portal was before it tanked out. Likely to suffice as the Witchvox for Nonfluffy Pagans. Definitely worth your time.
- Pagan Pride Search Engine: Just another pagan search engine, except that I'm on it. There are redeeming links on there, so go ahead and check it out. :)
- Pagans Against Bad History: the first webring I felt belongs to the Mirror. If I find a "Pagans Against Stupidity" webring, I'll join that too.
- The Witches' Voice: the best networking site I've ever seen (probably because it's the most popular pagan site on the Internet today). The articles are fluffy as hell, but hey. Witchvox serves their purpose, and they serve it well.
Pertaining to Politics
- The Ayn Rand Institute: Political organisation dedicated to disseminating the Objectivist philosophies of the late Ayn Rand. Endorsed heavily by fellow political seeker Tripp Eisen, guitarist of Static-X. I agree with a lot of what I see at the ARI website, except that Ayn Rand dismissed any and all ideas of anything supernatural, supernormal, or magical, and dismissed any intuition in favour of reason and logic. But this is a very interesting and informative site, and it isn't even badly designed, so check it out at your leisure.
- Disinformation: What isn't Faux News telling you in their reports? Disinformation specialises in reporting the news that seems to slip through the cracks, and from what I can tell the spin factor is relatively low. Good shit, man.
- The Political Compass: Curious where you stand on the American political plane? Take this quiz and the Political Compass will plot you and juxtapose you to famous world leaders. Find out where you stand.
Made By Assholes
- Pagan Nation: want to see a couple of these lovely authors at work scratching each other's backs? Get a load of this shit!
Made By My Friends and Colleagues
- Between Myth and Magick: A website depicting the personal journey of a dear friend of mine. The site, being of a soft lavenderish purple colour and having Jessica Galbreth artwork everywhere, is extremely feminine-looking (as well it ought to, she's quite female), but very pleasant to the eyes. The structure and mission of the site resembles the Mirror, just very PG-rated. And purple. And rich in content. Did I mention it's purple?
- Daven's Journal: Yes, I know I already mentioned the Journal, but this site is so important that I had to link it twice.
- Obsidian Butterfly's Sanctuary: considering this site is hosted on Geoshitties and the webmaster is fifteen, this site is fucking awesome. Like me, she may be young but she's done her homework and knows her shit. Don't let her age fool you; instead, observe how beautiful this site is in its simplicity.
Miscellaneous
- 665: A very, very funny website designed by a troubled Massachusets man who has a penchant for wearing kilts and making one wonder about his sexuality. He presents fat goths to point and laugh at, and even has a horse insults your penis. It's brilliant. Go there.
Defunct But Still Worth Mentioning
- Pagan Portal: I was a regular on their mesage board until the site went down in mid-September 2003. The site also had some humor pages and a couple of other nifty resources.
